Welcome to Kikay's Junk. Our mission is to provide the American market with fine arts and furniture coming from Asia, specifically, and initially exclusively, from the Philippines. The furniture we carry are high-end outdoor (garden) furniture, created from solid tropical hardwoods. The artifacts are also made from solid tropical woods. In addition, we carry original paintings from up-and-coming Filpino artists.

Now, why the name Kikay's Junk? Well, while we are selling high-end products, we do not wish to come off too formal or stiff. And as some say, "One person's junk is another person's treasure." History buffs will appreciate the allusion to the Chinese junks that were used in the Manila Galleon Trade. But in our case, Kikay's Junk brings to the U.S. market Philippine products, unlike the Chinese junks of the Spanish era which really brought Chinese products to Acapulco via Manila. And who is Kikay? Well, the truth is, nobody here is called Kikay. The word "Kikay" though, is a Tagalog (Philippine dialect) term for a lady who is playful, fun, and even a bit flirtatious. Again, the wish to be friendly than formal. A more important reason, though, is the use of the word Kikay reflects our Filipino heritage. It is that heritage that we wish to share with our friends in the American market, through our fine arts and furniture.
